Campus Use of Space Policy

All Brandeis Hospitality locations and spaces* adhere to the university’s Campus Use of Space Policy and cannot be utilized without authorized reservation. Reservation and booking requests may be made by contacting our catering team. Outside catering or food is strictly forbidden to be served in any Brandeis Hospitality location or space*. Posting Notices or Signs

All Brandeis Hospitality locations and spaces* adhere to the university’s Posting Notices or Signs under the Campus Use of Space Policy. Signs are prohibited in all Brandeis Hospitality locations and spaces. Signs may only be posted in designated areas dictated by Community Living with the university-approved stamp. Lost and Found

Brandeis Hospitality is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property. Any property found will be turned in to the Department of Public Safety.


Catering Cancellation Policy

A 48-hour notice is required for canceling an event with no penalty. If the food was ordered for your event, you may be charged for the cost of ordering the specific menu item if it can not be used in other catering events. If the food has been prepared for an event and it has been canceled, the client will be charged the original invoice price. All changes must be made via phone at 781-736-4331.


Policy for Outside Caterers on campus

Brandeis Hospitality is not affiliated with any off-campus catering company. Any and all off-campus catering companies are responsible for any aspects of an event, including but not limited to equipment, facilities, personnel, storage, and food. Off-campus catering companies are strictly forbidden from utilizing any and all Brandeis Hospitality services, including but not limited to equipment, facilities, personnel, storage, and food. Brandeis Hospitality is not responsible or liable for any and all damages & food safety standards from any off-campus catering company.


Alcohol Policy

Collective Catering (operated by Brandeis Hospitality) has sole oversight, responsibility, and ownership over liquor being served within the Usdan Student Center, Sherman-Hassenfeld, & The Faculty Club. All liquor and distribution of liquor at any event held in these locations is only to be operated and overseen by Collective Catering. Collective Catering provides bartenders and liquor and operates under the university liquor license for the locations listed above. Any events with liquor held outside of the above locations must be operated by the approved third-party company. Any event with liquor must be booked at least 25 business days prior to the event date. Availability of the third-party company is subject to availability and booking of an event with the third-party company is not a confirmation of availability.


* Brandeis Hospitality locations and spaces include Usdan Kitchen, Hive Culinary Studio, Louis Deli, Dunkin, Starbucks, The Hoot, Farm Table at Sherman, Kosher Table at Sherman, Einstein Bros Bagels, The Stein, Faculty Club, Lower Usdan (outside the perimeter of Usdan Kitchen), Upper Usdan Dining Area (including all tables, chairs, booths and glass entrance/exits), and all walls, windows, lights, registers, display cases, tables, chairs, booths, counters, kitchens, dish rooms, dining rooms, storage areas, refrigerators/freezers, offices, and all entrance/exit doors in any of the above locations.
